Welcome To Thirty Days of Green

2009 Event is scheduled for April 16th - May 7th

Thirty Days of Green began on February 20, 2008 and featured numerous events to educate and promote "Green" awareness in our community. Below are highlights from the innaugural 2008 event:

Karen Childress Presentation - February 20, 2008:
A day-long presentation by Karen Childress, a writer and speaker on green building and green home topics sharing the experience she has gained as a leader in the green building movement in Florida. In addition, a roundtable discussion occured during lunch (provided), and Bruce White will present Sky, a 571 acre development in Calhoun County.

Ride the Green Wave: How to Buy and Sell High Performance Homes - March 20, 2008:
An educational event presented by GE and Honeywell brought Sara Lamia, a nationally renowned speaker to the Visual Arts Center on March 20th for a morning of education on the topic of selling high performance Green homes.

Tour of Homes - March 16, 2008:
A tour of five Green homes in our community was presented by the Growth Management Committee of BEST.

Bay Green Expo - March 22, 2008:
An expo to bring awareness to living responsibly and sustainably was presented by The Friends of St. Andrews Bay and the Bay Environmental Study Team.
